here is a pic of the jl audio cs212 power wedge that I just got , it has great linear excursion so it can move alot of air at once , it houses 2 12w0 subwoofers and it comes in a custom enclosure so it will sound great in a hatchback or anywhere else you can think of !

Here is a pic of the jbl's my friend likes so much , he insists that they have more bass than my jl's but we all know thats not true , their power is rated by their size (ex. the 10"=1000watts, 12"=1200 watts , 15"=1500watts) not even the cerwin vega stroker 12's are rated that high ,so something is wrong there. also they only cost 99$ for 2 most good subs are at least 150$ for one . Bottom line : jbl's are good for the beginner payless type of system.

Strokers

These are the Cerwin Vega strokers . these monstrous sub-woofers have up to 1.5" linear excursion they pump out tremendous amounts of power , there is a 12 , a 15, and Dr deep the 18 inch sub! if your lookin for a high end system go with the strokers , but i warn you it will empty out your wallet pretty good .
